Personal Request Recently a Navy Veteran, Henry Eppig, has requested
information about his brother, John Eppig, another Navy veteran who was killed
in action onboard the USS Terror. Henry has been looking for information regarding his brother’s death for 55 years. He wanted to bring his brother’s body home. Research indicates that there was no body buried anywhere and that his brother was probably buried at sea. Henry is still very distraught over his brother’s death and was looking for any information about his brother. All Henry Eppig knows is that his brother was on the mess decks when the attack occurred. Anyone who may have information about John Eppig or what happened to those killed in action on May 1, 1945 please contact Henry Eppig at 518-622-2673. ( He lives in Cairo, just south of Albany) It would mean a lot to Henry and bring him some closure to this event that has haunted him for 55 years. Any help that you can give would be greatly appreciated. |
